Amalie! It’s such an honor to have an absolutely gorgeous and talented beauty feature as our December Cover! We’re curious to know how your journey has been to this point? In the beginning, I was just taking photos with a friend of mine who was into photography and started posting the best shots on Instagram. I was not used to standing in front of a camera or running a business account on Instagram. The benefit was that I was always my own creative director behind every shoot, and became my own boss. Therefore all my content came naturally from me without any pressure, giving me the chance to evolve at my own tempo. Eventually, my hard work paid off, and while the audience grew, it opened many doors for me. Today I am beyond happy about all these unique opportunities, and I’m super excited to be on the cover of Playboy Australia! This proves the fact that it’s important to do whatever you want as long as you enjoy it, and everything is possible.
Given your obvious stunning good looks and striking features, tell us a bit about where you’re from? Thank you so much! I’m actually from a very small and quiet town in northern Norway. And when I took these pictures I was actually freezing, it gets really cold in the winter here in Norway. The positive side is the beautiful nature, the snow is glowing and the northern lights are absolutely amazing.
Having an acting background as well as a modeling career, and making waves in both industries, which would you say you enjoy doing the most between the two? Both modeling and acting are such creative, inspiring and exciting areas to work in and I get to follow my own dreams, but I really wanna work towards new things within acting. I find that is really where my passion lies.
As long as we keep seeing more of you we’re happy! On that note, 2020 has been incredibly challenging for all us, what would say has been the most challenging thing for you this year? Thank you so much! Most of all, it has been very challenging to constantly worry about my family. The situation made it too risky to combine work and family due to the fear of bringing the invisible virus home to my loved ones. Therefore it has been very difficult to travel and work as I normally would. Let’s hope 2021 will be a safer and healthier year for all of us!
How do you manage to stay true to yourself in this difficult fashion industry? You need to have good confidence and know who you are, what you stand for and be certain of what you want to do and how you want to present yourself before you do it.
You seem like a really motivated and consistent person, are you always like this? Thank you so much, this makes me really happy! Since I started working through my dreams I’ve never stopped seeing my goal. Of course, I have some bad times and downtime in my life, but I never let that get in the way of achieving what I want in my life. Everyone has to sacrifice something to get something, and when you start thinking like that you start a whole journey of cherishing hard work and discipline in favor of seeing your dream come closer to you.
What makes you feel sexy? I actually love heels, it makes me feel really sexy!
If we were to try and sweep you right off your feet, what are some of the things you look for in an ideal partner? I’m gonna have to answer what everyone else is answering on this one – funny, kind and loyal. But it’s also important for me that my partner has the guts to tell me when I’m wrong when it’s for my own good.
