Meet August 2018 Playmate Valya Romanova

We get to know the gorgeous accomplished medical professional and an entrepreneur Valya Romanova.
Describe yourself in three words
Hot, smart and determined.
Were you excited to shoot for Playboy?
Being a Playmate has always been a dream of mine. I think the female body is absolute art, and Playboy has always been the magazine that could show that beauty fully.
What was it like starting out as a model?
I stared modelling in my early teen years. I went to a modelling school in Russia where I was taught how to move, walk, pose and dance. When I came to the US I realized that bikini and glamour modelling was a huge market. And my body was perfect for it. It took hundreds of photoshoots before my name could be recognized. And one day everything just started to happen for me. I was invited to feature in magazines, designers wanted me to promote their fashion, my social medial started to grow, and finally I made it on the covers of major glamour magazines such as FHM and Maxim.
What would you consider to be your biggest challenge as a model so far?
Time. A couple of years ago I opened a medical spa where I do medical beauty treatments. Between running the business, doing the procedures and promoting the spa, I have very little free time. There are many modelling trips and opportunities that I had to put on hold due to my schedule. But it’s all good. I am very happy with where I am at.
Describe your perfect day off when you are not modelling?
I love the ocean. Hanging out at the beach or on a boat is probably my favourite these days. I love exploring and traveling as well. Even a day trip to some new place is a joy for me.
Do you feel more like a city person or a country person?
I am more of a suburban kind of person. I love to live close to the city so I can have all the entertainment and fun. But I also I enjoy to be able to escape a city hassle when I need my quiet time.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Right here in Florida, USA. I love the mild climate here. It’s always summer. We have the ocean, the palms, the most beautiful beaches, and Disney land. It’s a paradise!
Do you have a secret talent?
I can fly. No, I wish! I fly in my dreams though. But in the real life my secret talent I think is perseverance. I just never learned how to give up on things. I dream big and I make it happen.
A guilty pleasure?
Just one? I have so many! Ice-cream, chocolate, champagne. I eat very healthy most of the time and I work out regularly, but on the weekend, I indulge in some sugar.
Which song is absolutely certain to make you cry whenever you hear it?
“I’ll be home for Christmas”. Here in the USA they have it playing everywhere around Christmas time. My family lives very far from me and I don’t always get to go home for the holidays. So, this song makes my heart ache every time.
What is your favourite word in any language and what does it mean?
Love, and it truly means everything to me. You need to love what you do. Love people around you. Love your friends, your family, your significant other. And most of all, you need to love yourself with all your flaws and eccentricities.
Any last words you would like to share with the readers?
Thank you so much for all your love and support. I hope that those of you who know me and are following my career enjoyed this feature. And I hope that those of you who are reading about me for the first time will become my new friends and supporters. Cheers!
