This month we meet Alexia Goines, a simple, southern girl who is a firm believer in the saying, “less is more,” when it comes to what she needs to be happy. “I am unapologetically myself and determined to never let that change!”

Were you excited to shoot for Playboy? Beyond excited! It has been a dream of mine for a long time. I’m proud of myself for making it happen!

What inspires you? My grandmother is my inspiration. She has now passed but was proof you can go through hell and still come out winning on the other side.

Why did you choose to pursue a career in modeling? I love creating, and modeling is my favorite form of self-expression! I’m grateful that my job also has the ability to bring me comfort.

Turn-ons… Open-mindedness and empathy for others. Show me you care!

Describe to us your perfect date… My perfect date would have to be going to a farm where they let you pick your own wildflowers! Maybe even drink some wine and just spend time with the animals!

Describe yourself in three words… Southern, dependable, and flirty!

Do you feel more like a city or a country person? I am definitely more of a country person! Nothing is better than being able to wake up to the sound of birds chirping in the mornings and being able to stargaze at night without the sound of vehicles.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Although I have yet to visit, I would like to say Scotland. The scenery looks so dreamy!

Any guilty pleasures? Vintage dresses! I love collecting old dresses and wearing them from time to time. My closet is full of them!

Tell us something surprising about you? I am not a fan of expensive gifts! I prefer gifts that are sentimental, like handwritten letters.

What was it like starting out as a model? Intimidating, but I knew what I wanted to do and wasn’t going to let anything stop me. I was determined to build a life that helps me pursue my passions and gives me joy.

Do you have a secret talent? I am a resourceful person, so I would like to think my secret talent is finding different uses for different things! Also, it helps with not being wasteful!
