Such an honor to have you as PMOY New Zealand! We are so excited to have you as Playmate of the Year! How does it feel? It’s rewarding. I’m honored in so many ways to be featured in Playboy. Thank you for the opportunity to be not only your cover girl but also Playmate of the Year.

What does the cover mean to you? It’s an accomplishment and a driver for me to stay relevant as the years pass. I’m a 50+ model, I’ll do this for as long as I look the part and you keep inquiring. I’m working hard in the gym to make it happen and to lead by example.

Who inspires you inside or outside of the industry? Which industry may I ask? Playboy or modeling in general? I’m a fan of the forever beautiful classic women; Pamela Anderson, Angelina Jolie, and Victoria Beckham. Each are incredible in their own right. They have built careers, and a family and follow their passions to help others by standing up for what they believe in. That’s inspiration.

Would you rather be loved, respected, or admired? Love is fleeting, respect is earned and admiration begets opportunity. I’m female, it depends on what I’m doing that day.

How romantic are you? I’m not. I’m more of a flirt.

Describe your perfect man: I used to be all about the tall, dark, and handsome ones… but I fell for a brown-eyed blond Viking (Norwegian) with a romantic streak that makes me laugh.

Lingerie or bikini? What makes you feel more powerful and why? Bikini! I can wear them all day, almost everywhere, and usually garner an audience. Although I love playing dress up at night, I get to wear my bikini much longer than any of my lingerie.

How do you bring out your flirty side when the camera starts rolling? I flirt with the grips and stylists who are usually behind the photographer. Working with a team that enjoys what they do makes the difference.

What’s one thing fans would be surprised to learn about you? My age.

What’s your secret to feeling sexy and confident in front of the camera? Modeling a fabulous outfit in character. When you feel good, the camera catches it.

Any exciting projects lined up for this year? Just travel, more modeling, an improved portfolio, and maybe a new website.

A lot of young women look up to you, what advice would you give them on pursuing their own dreams? Make an Oath to yourself and do the Grind to make it happen. You are worth the effort. Dreams are simply that unless you work hard to make them a reality. I pen a bi-monthly blog on Substack called Oath & Grind (@oathgrindbysusanhoff).

What’s one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned in life and how has that changed your perspective? You can’t take care of others until you take care of yourself. Make the time to work out, eat well, and stay healthy. When you have your health most everything is possible. The rest is just noise.

You’ve done so much in your life, what would you say people tend to focus on, that isn’t really important and what would you say is important in this journey of life? At this point in my career, I’ve learned just as much from my failures as I have from my successes. Life is a windy path with few directions. Trust your gut and take some risks. They make for a great life story. Honestly, no one wants to hear about how nice your vacation was, they want to hear about the crazy things you encountered while you were away. That’s the story you’ll always end up telling. Trust me… and don’t ask me about my trip to Bali.

Any last words for our readers? Where can they follow you online for updates? Thank you for the opportunity to be selected as this year’s PMOY. If you want to follow my shenanigans, modeling, fashion or fitness work you can find me on Insta @OathandGrind or fb HoffSusan or X @susanhoff or Linktr.ee/SusanHoff When I’m not doing any of the above, I’m working here fantesca.com.
